watch out for the rous's [geeking]
i finally started using a rss feed reader! something i always meant to do but didn't really utilize until today. i had tried to use web based ones but you have to go to the homepage and login. who can remember to do all that? instead i've been clicking the links on my blog reading list on my about page and that can get tedious. i'll still have to do that when i'm not on my laptop but when i am using my laptop, from now on i'll be using netnewswire lite. pretty cool. i finally get to see what my own feeds look like! (i learned that i prefer the atom format most of all for the complete entry and inclusion of images.) i kept the default feeds and signed up my own list. damn, looks like i have a long reading list. what's so cool about a rss feed reader like this is that it pretty much is having a custom newspaper/magazine delivered to you. go check out the program for yourself if you're using mac os x.

I really like using Firefox (saving Live Feeds) and Google Reader (http://www.google.com/reader/) . Although, I probably use Firefox more because it's so damn fast and I work primarily on web applications. I just open a tab and look into my RSS folder where all 400 of my feeds are and Wa La! Gold.
I can either reload the browser and All my feeds are automatically updated or I can specify the feeds to update as I am viewing them, just in case there have been postings since I opened the browser three hours before.

i tend to use firefox at work, otherwise i stick with safari at home. there's just something about firefox that i'm not quite into it yet. i really can't stand tabbed browsing as i have a tendency to keyboard shortcut close windows and often end up closing the entire browser! plus, with tabbed viewing you cannot compare 2 or more pages which i often do. also, i noticed that it lags when playing some flash games and i gots to have me neopets fix. but i do like the rss feed integration of firefox. sometimes i read the news this way at work even if it is from a british source. ^_^
