penguins is practically chickens [watching]

i finally got to see "march of the penguins" thanks to the cheapo theater. hmm, a bit disappointing in that it only focuses on a year in the life of an emperor penguin based on the reproductive aspect, but then again the life of all animals is pretty much centered around reproduction. i always had an interest in penguins and knew a bit about them, but not in such great detail so that was interesting. my sometimes annoying trait of always wanting to get the facts and related details left me bothered that the film constantly mentioned the 70 mile march but never mentioned how long on average it actually takes for a penguin to march 70 miles. they do the march several times a year, though it does shorten as the ice melts, but how long does it take? is that really too much information to convey in a documentary? i just want to quickly compare in my mind the stamina of a penguin versus some other creatures, including myself. afterall, it seems that penguins are avid trampers. ;)
