the things we do for friends [living]

we've been running around to get disney tickets cheaper for our friend. ok, so we haven't been doing the actual running around. our friend dani drove down to take his girlfriend to disneyland for the first time. twiddle thumbs's mom can get tickets cheaper through her union. her brother picked up the tickets because the ticket location is closer to his work and in turn we picked up his kid for him for one of those custody on the weekends thing. we exchanged goods and went to anaheim to give the disneyland tickets to dani. they're going tomorrow. it was good to hang out with dani for a little bit since we don't get to see him often.

normally, and when i say normally i mean the old me who used to have a job and could do everyday sort of things without thinking about them because i had money, i would've said what the hell and gone to disneyland as well even though it's my least favorite amusement park. or at least i would've gone to california adventures to check it out since i haven't been there since it opened up. but i can't. i've actually got an interview on monday with an agency that places people in jobs that require japanese language skills. i doubt my skills are up to par but it's a shot worth trying. i also have to make some calls on monday to follow up on some other possible employment leads so if all goes well i just might be a normal person again next month. it's about damn time.
