my computer skills saved me [working]
guess what? i got the job! i can't believe it. i guess they saw through my nervous layer and decided that i am good enough for the job. now i just have to warm up and get to really know my boss like she's twiddle thumbs. i think that's what a good assistant is. someone who is like a walking pda. i will have to really like this person in order to be their cybernetic brain. yesterday, after i felt like i didn't get it, i started thinking bad thoughts and got depressed. the job offer phone call really helped boost my spirits. again, that human resources lady is sooooo damn nice sounding. i see why she has the job she does. she has a voice that brings in people. i start november 1. that's good for me because it gives me time to get back into a normal sleeping/waking arrangement. also, i will use the free time to maximize some hobby things i got going on 'cos once i start the job, i won't have time for it. the only thing that sucks is my jury duty starts november 1. i haven't been picked yet, just have to check in. it's a good thing i was too lazy to fill out the survey until now. i even got a letter saying i better turn it in or face jail time/fine/etc. now i can fill out that survey asking to be excused 'cos i've been unemployed for so long and need this job bad and must attend the first week's training.
this job even has health benefits. excellent. i had no idea. this is a sweet setup. i haven't been to the dentist in 1 year. i think that's the longest i've gone without. i pretty much stick to the whole cleaning every six months recommendation. i feel dirty. must get cleaned by a pro as soon as those benefits kick in! what's great is that my favorite dentist of all time practices in cerritos. i hope he will be my dentist once more and soon.
