a quiet halloween [living]
i think this might have been my quietest halloween ever. we (twiddle thumbs and i + eva) went to the halloween monster mash dinner at native foods. if you dressed in costume it was $15, otherwise it was $20. any excuse for us to dress like it's halloween, ya know? the meal was pumpkin soup with bats eyes, hair ball and guts salad with drool dressing, transylvanian ghoulash, road kill cobbler, and vampire iced tea. it was good. what i liked about it was that it was a multi-course meal and i didn't have to think and order. it was presented, just there. take it and eat it. the founder/owner chef tanya was there and so we kissed her ass a bit when she would come by serving ice tea. hey, it is our favorite restaurant and we had to let her know. then we talked about ucsc since she went there too. after that, we had decent service. it was slow at first but once you kiss up to the owner, things are done promptly. but we didn't get anything extra or for free like the girls were hoping for. we were one of the few that dressed up so tanya swung by with her digital camera and took a picture. don't know if it'll ever end up on the web site but it's fine by me if it doesn't. i'm sure i'm hideous in it. see for yourself.

everyday is halloween
