some asshole cut me off on the freeway [screaming]

from my flickr collection

this asshole driver cut me off--flip him off for me when you see him. i was on the 105 just as it ends into the 605. i was going maybe 30 mph and had the space of 1 car length inbetween me and the driver in front of me. suddenly this asshole changed lanes from his non-moving lane and went right in front of me as the traffic in my lane was starting to slow down. by cutting me off like that, i had to brake so flipping hard that i burned rubber and my car shook out of control. thanks mister! there's been a couple scary times in my life when i've been on the freeway and had to go from 60 mph to 0 in about 2 seconds and burned rubber, but never has my car vibrated and steering wheel shook before, making this the worst sudden stop i've ever been through. thank god no one was behind me or i'd surely have a smashed up trunk and projected forward to crash into the asshole who cut me off. i was so pissed at him and my camera phone was right there so i took this picture of the car when he changed lanes on the 605 to go on the 91. i only took the picture because i remembered how years and years ago there used to be a highway 17 hall of shame sort of web site. one guy who commuted from santa cruz to the silicon valley was sick of all the asshole drivers on 17 and would take pictures of them and post them to his site. some people would find out their license plate was fully visible on the site and freak out over it. unfortunately the resolution of this picture is crap and it's such a tiny picture.

oh and my mom called the dsl people again and they said they'd try to figure out what's wrong and would fix it within 3 days. they'd call once it's fixed. 3 days!??!!?! that's like 3 months in internet terms. i'm so spoiled.
