we went to santa monica pier to see plastilina mosh perform for free. oops, wrong day! i had it in ical as today but it was yesterday. i think this is another leftover fuckup in ical from switching time zones. back when i was still in new zealand, i had read about how the new version of ical allows appointments in multiple time zones and really didn't think about it at the time. now i know how important support for multiple time zones is! surprisingly, i'm not that disappointed or mad about missing plastilina mosh, even though it was for free. if i had paid for tickets and somehow went the wrong day, then i'd probably be upset about it.

since we were already there at the pier and i had never been there before, we walked around to check it out. it's quite small and sad. there are a few rides on the pier, a few shops, an arcade, a restaurant, but not much else. the santa cruz wharf and boardwalk definitely kicks santa monica pier's ass.
