siggraph in LA [geeking]

i've always wanted to go to siggraph in san diego ever since i first heard about it but was always stuck in santa cruz. this year it's in LA and i'm in LA. except i'm broke. a couple days ago i found a software vendor that was offering a special code to go to siggraph and view the exhibits only for free. just my price! so i signed up, printed my free ticket, and went to siggraph today. only, the exhibits are not open yet! doh! siggraph begins today but the exhibits begin on tuesday. grrr. don't i feel foolish. when i quickly went over the siggraph site to figure out the dates and times, i didn't see anything about the exhibition opening up later. since we already paid $10 for parking, we wandered around and looked at the gallery stuff that was free to look at.
