questionable vegetarian food [ingesting]

we went to lunch with twiddle thumbs's cousin. he's living in glendale and the closest vegetarian place we could find by doing a search online was leonor's in studio city. we ate there once before with one of twiddle thumbs's friends before we went to new zealand. it was ok. however, i keep reading bad reviews of the place, like this one, and it gives me the creeps. the bottom line is that the place is not vegan and i went there knowing that. i don't always eat vegan but i prefer to. sometimes there are fake meats that have egg whites or something like that and i will eat it if it tastes really really good. the food at leonor's though is just ok. they serve pinto beans. not black beans. and only pinto beans. they do give you a lot for the price but the taste is not great, just ok. it's true that the staff are not exactly service with a smile but i haven't had problems and haven't asked about ingredients. i hesitantly eat the fake meats and cheese but i do eat it. personally, i would have been fine without it. cheese it not essential to life. i should've asked them to remove it but it's too late now. i don't live close to leonor's so i'm not dependent on them for when i'm lazy and want a meal out. i can make much better tasting food at home and i know what the hell is in it.

traffic to glendale was hell. traffic back was a little better but we went back a different way and it took longer. we went on so many different freeways today! the 20 minute rule is dead. it no longer takes 20 minutes to most places you want to get to in LA. people in LA live in a 20 minute radius, or at least they did. your life circumference really didn't go beyond 20 minutes unless it was during rush hour and things just take longer. now there's traffic all the time and it's really bad. now it is a 1 hour rule. i don't if this changes people's circumference of life. i know it's seriously depressing and makes me reevaluate where to live in LA county if i even bother to live here at all. traffic is that bad. i hate traffic.
