broke as [geeking]

i had to get 2 new tires for my car today. at first i went to costco because i always go there but they don't carry my size tires anymore. in fact, they were telling me that they've been discontinued so i have to buy a different size which means getting 4 new tires. i cannot afford that. screw them! so i went to a cheap place instead. it sucks... i come home broke from traveling and have to take care of basic things like get new tires before i can even earn a paycheck, before i can even interview! you cannot live without a car in LA. it's a fact. which means somehow we have to figure out how to get twiddle thumbs a car too otherwise the only jobs she could get are retail within walking distance.

i spent the rest of my time finally fixing all the dates/times of my pictures in iphoto. i have been doing this for a few days. for some strange reason, after i changed my time zone back to the pacific, all the dates/times of photos in iphoto were affected. i downloaded some scripts to help automate the process of correcting the dates. what sucks is that i can't do anything else while the scripts are running and it is a long process.

of course, i don't have the date/time of every photo memorized (there are over 3000), but with my organizational skills, the comments i put down, and this blog, i have been able to figure it out reasonably well. besides, some photos you just know are wrong because of the obvious confliction of daytime activity photo versus date/time stamp of 3am. several calendar entries in ical also went back a day. very strange. these are concerts yet to take place that i entered back in new zealand so i could figure out the logistics of which ones i want to go to and can afford.
