i got a library card today which signifies that i am becoming a wellingtonian. the central library here is pretty big. enough magazines to take up all my free time. i am so tired of the current book i am reading, it's just going slower than molasses, so i went to the library to pick up a few things in the hopes that they will be a more interesting read. should be fun reading.

this morning we were able to speak to our friend and she's smart enough to have already guessed why we wanted to talk to her. we came up with 4 possible scenarios before we even talked to her. #1 is the original plan of her visit. #2 is that she visits earlier. #3 is that we go back to america early and take a joint trip during the time she was supposed to visit us in nz. #4 is that we do the joint trip at a different time.

we were hoping for #2 but we didn't know what her schedule was like. turns out she can probably visit us next month. she has to look into the possibility of changing her flight date and will get back to us. it would be ideal if she could change it. but i'm not going place all my hope in that. my library card will tide me over with free things to do if i have to stay here through winter.
