spooked [watching]

we went to the cinema paradiso movie theatre because i had read about it being unique. yes it is. it's what i imagine going to a movie screening at a frat house would be like. instead of the usual movie theatre chairs, there were old beat up sofas and even half an automobile. we met stephen, a scottish guy from the kiwi bus, and saw a new zealand film called "spooked". there were some awkward parts to the film but overall it wasn't bad. there was a unique choice in cinematography of the main guy standing in front of a giant screen that images are projected onto. i found that to be the interesting feature of the film. it was probably chosen because it was cheap to do but i think the effect was great. there were just a few small moments (namely at the very beginning) where the accent was thick or the lines were slurred so i wasn't sure what was being said. i want to see more kiwi films while i'm here. i'll probably rent them once i'm done with this portion of the traveling.
