miss congeniality 2 [watching]
instead of going straight back to the hostel, we decided to watch "miss congeniality 2". i was never a fan of sandra bullock, but within a short span i watched both "miss congeniality" and "28 days". those two films warmed me up to her. i thought they were well done and she did a good job as well.
"miss congeniality 2" is a silly picture but we needed a good laugh and it did have its moments. it was great to see the girl from "227" again. very nostalgic. she can still make that great pouty "say what?", fuck off kind of face. ernie hudson had little screen time which is good because i can't take him seriously. each moment he is on screen it's like a battle of wills to see who laughs first--he or me. after all, once you've been a ghostbuster...
watching regis get kneed to the groin is probably worth the price of admission for any film. what was bad about this film is that the lovableness of the character of gracie is gone. there's nothing really to keep the viewer interested in, to connect too. you just hang along for a couple of cheap laughs.
