i am an apartment feature [living]

the flatmates told me to look at a website. they wanted me to see an ad that the landlord placed earlier this month for an empty room in our apartment. they thought i'd be interested in it. well, they were right. the wording is hilarious! she describes the place in an unusual way. instead of pointing out the apartment features such as skylights and high-speed internet (because there isn't any!), she points out the people features. "there are 4 rooms and the residents are american, mexican, and japanese. the american is half-japanese who can translate for you. a friendly bunch." translate for you?!! how much do i get paid for this? twiddle thumbs simply said, "i'm not mexican! mexican-american. my parents are from mexico." aaaaahahahahaa of course, all this is in japanese! looking back, when i was home and she was showing the apartment, it did seem odd that when she introduced me she kind of talked about me like i wasn't there and said something like, "she speaks japanese even though she doesn't look like she can". i didn't think it was too strange because that's how a lot of japanese react whenever i'm not walking around with my mother i think. no, even when i'm with my mother! anyway, here's the ad for your pleasure.
