we went to all three kathmandu stores in auckland today. i really need proper footwear for when we go hiking. i could probably also use a couple decent clothes, like shirts that are quick-drying for when we kayak and so forth. so we went to all the stores, looking for clothes and other things we'll need. things are just so expensive it's driving me crazy. and i'm only buying things on sale! why didn't i overplan before i came and buy this shit in america? because i didn't want to carry too much crap over on the plane. that's why. ridiculous. i tell myself that this stuff i buy will last for a long time and i'll use it often enough that it will be worth the investment.
