our vegan dinner at verona [ingesting]

i read somewhere that verona on k' road has some vegan items or is vegan friendly or vegetarian friendly. i scribbled it in my notebook as one of the food places to check out. they were closed a long time for the holidays but are finally open again. we decided to have dinner there. there was only 1 vegetarian item on the menu and it was vegan. it was a tempeh, noodle, vegetable stir fry sort of thing with cashews.

tempeh dinner at verona

for starters we had the appetizer of bread/hummus and i also ordered the soup of the day, spicy pumpkin. they weren't kidding when they said spicy. damn! i couldn't taste the seasoning of my main dish at all. twiddle thumbs said it was spicy. all the taste buds were deactivated by the soup so i'll just have to take her word for it. i was pretty full from the appetizers and could hardly eat the main dish. there was definitely value in the verona menu. lots of food for your money. i think the old me back in california could have eaten all of it. i was afraid that my stomach hadn't reduced in size a bit. i was afraid i still had the "i'm a growing boy" appetite. thankfully that is not the case. i'm still full and i ate there almost 3 hours ago!
