first working day off, not! [working]

i thought this would be my first working day without work. i was going to go around town doing several errands because i can't get too many things done on a weekday since all the shops close early. it's like when i first lived in santa cruz. you just can't get shit done. i call it small town shop hours. i hate small town shop hours. but no, today i had work after all. i overslept and got a call asking if i was available for an assignment today. yes, i am available. why? 'cos i need the money. cash in now, honey! cash in while you can.

so today and tomorrow i'm working for calan healthcare properties. just typing up old board meeting notes, no big deal.

p.s.
i've been in auckland for 1 month! time flies. it really doesn't feel like 1 month has passed. now i'm disappointed in myself. i can't believe that in 1 month's time i have seen so little of auckland. i blame small town shop hours! it causes my weekends to be nothing but running errands instead of running around seeing the sites.
