tonight we treated ourselves to a film and a hot chocolate. maybe fridays will be the 'treat day' where we pamper ourselves. i'm not sure yet. it certainly lifted our spirits!

we went to see "the grudge". what a creepy film! i have not seen the japanese original but naturally i wanted to see it before the american version. i'm glad at least that the kept the setting in japan, as compared to say "the ring". i can only say that it is creepy. some parts were a bit too serious and it started to make me laugh, but i was good and stayed creeped out for most of the film.

i think a serious weakness of the film was the heavy reliance on flashback storytelling. lame! didn't pull it off right. seemed too much like filler.

the only thing i want to know is, what kind of jobs are these americans doing where the company is paying them to relocate to japan and pay a very good wage that they can afford such luxurious living, whilst not even speaking japanese? and how can i get this job!
