mexican food in new zealand [ingesting]
i know it's hard to believe but mexican food does exist in new zealand, and not just in the ethnic aisle of the supermarket. not too far from the apartment, in the central business district, is a place called mexican café. one of our flatmates liked to eat tacos in japan and was really curious as to what other mexican foods were like, especially after we described some alcoholic beverages. she, twiddle thumbs, and i went there for dinner tonight. i wanted to hold off going there until i really got homesick for mexican food but i really was getting excited over introducing our flatmate to mexican food and beverages.

crap margarita, excellent guacamole dip
the margaritas were very weak. you could put it in a baby's bottle. and speaking of baby, there were tiny. we ordered a jug and received a baby bottle. seriously. check out the picture. we're going to have to buy the materials and make them at home. perhaps we will revive board games and alcohol weekends, but with ren and stimpy uno, of course!
p.s.
today was another holiday. boxing day observed. we did our first auckland city outing: we went to kelly tarlton's antarctic encounter & underwater world. it was really small. if we didn't use a 2-for-1 coupon, i would've felt ripped off.
