the old 8mm home movie films my mom dropped off to be converted onto vhs are ready! we picked up the tape today. as soon as we got home, my mom broke the tape! part of it shattered and is no longer playable. so i asked her if she has an old vhs tape that she doesn't need anymore. i opened it up and transferred the new tape into the old casing. the old tape was sacrificed. it was a noble cause.

we watched the tape. funny stuff. weird to see your naked ass when you're a couple months old and can't quite figure how to stand up, walk, etc. even more embarrassing is when you're a bit older and a camera hog, doing a little dance and showing off. the cool stuff was my dad's college graduation and my parents living in germany before i was even a fetus. now i'm gonna see about putting this stuff onto dvd. some of the footage will be great for my own use. whether it's a found footage style mini film or experimentations in music video.
