or just about everywhere. i went today to get an international's driving permit. i don't need it for new zealand, but i thought it would be good to have just in case i tried to rent a vehicle or got a job that requires driving and they were strict about licenses. the permit is valid for 1 year and i asked that it be valid starting the day i arrive in new zealand, so i might even be able to visit another country within that 1 year and drive over there.
