rosarito vacation [traveling]

drove down to rosarito with twiddle thumbs and her parents. this is a place she has talked about many times. i think their family must have many fond family vacation memories of rosarito and baja california in general. i do not have such an attachment so i joined them to check it out.

twiddle thumbs's brother and wife were renting a place by the beach for the week and we crashed at the end of their vacation week. we arrived a little after 10am or so. we walked around the beach by the rental house. then drove to have lunch at calafia hotel. then we drove to las rocas hotel next door to walk around the beach over there.

tourist on the beach!

i didn't get much sleep the night before so after that, i took a nap. after that, we went to downtown rosarito and walked around. we arrived just before sunset began. twiddle thumbs and i wanted to participate in various beach activities but most of them are only available in the summer. our only choices were to ride a horse or an atv-sports motorcycle-dune buggy thing. our decision was based on price. we rode a horse on the beach just at sunset. the pictures are much more gorgeous than what my eyes saw. in fact, the lighting is so perfect in the picture that i feel like it's a fake!
