it never rains in southern california [living]

i disagree. it rained today as we went to pick up a friend in palm springs. the only problem with the rain is that LA people don't know how to drive in the rain! it rains so infrequently that the roads are very slick. LA people really ride your ass. so there's big danger. also, if you ever saw the movie "a bug's life", the ants freak out when the trail is broken. one ant freaks out in the film, screaming "i'm lost!" seriously, that is how LA people drive. "it's raining!" they freak out.

i don't think i've even driven through palm springs before. we actually picked up the friend outside of palm springs, then had lunch in palm springs. we went eat at native foods, of course! must continue to sample their menu until i have tried all items.
