fish are friends, not food [watching]
saw a shark's tale with twiddle thumbs and her parents. an interesting outing to say the least. the basic story is of a shark that is vegetarian. i can't help but think that this film was spawned off of someone watching the sharks that don't eat fish in "finding nemo" and saying, "that's a good idea, let's make a film about a vegetarian shark!"
the film was enjoyable--i did laugh. however, it was trying at times. i just didn't understand why some of the features of the characters were so detailed in their resemblance to the voice actors. that was necessary for me. in fact, it took away from the film because i would think of the actor and not focus on the character. for that reason, i probably like the main character lenny the best. i had forgotten jack black does a voice in this film and was surprised at the end to read the credits. i don't like jack black but i thought his voice went well as lenny. actually, i think almost each character voice was very well cast. i really like lenny disguised as a dolphin. that was so cute and hilarious at the same time.
