back to tijuana again [traveling]

we went down to the beach in the morning and had a little swim. the water was really cold at first, but not as bad as santa cruz. why is it that i only swim in the oceans of foreign countries?

went back to the house, took a shower, ate, then drove to tijuana. twiddle thumbs's parents had to go to the dentist again. we killed time before the appointment by going to the dog races. i've never been to the dog races before so that was my excuse to go. then my excuse was photography. i wanted to take a nice picture of the dogs but they were so damn fast. my camera's reaction time was too slow to get the shots i wanted. when i think of dog races, i think of the cover for blur's album "park life". those dogs look mad; it scares me a bit. i was surprised at how nice the dogs in tijuana looked. they were happy enough to be house pets.

i was really surprised to see the caged animals in front of the race track building, and the animals behind the track. twiddle thumbs's mom said there's a zoo back there. i saw ostriches and camels.

in the cages at the front was a jaguar? i think it was a jaguar because it was mexico but whenever i see a big cat with such coloration, i think that it's a cheetah. twiddle thumbs's mom said it's a leopard. it was something! i don't know big cats very well and i wasn't that close to it. there was also a cage full of bears and kittens?! i suppose after the bears learned that koko the guerilla had a pet cat, they wanted one too.
