real healthy organic food [ingesting]

just got back home. i had dinner with my high school friend and her boyfriend at real food daily in santa monica. i've never met her boyfriend before. must spend more time to get to know him. the evening was so short. as soon as we walked into real food daily, i spotted flea (rhcp) up at the counter. i guess it is true--you do run into stars in santa monica. i swear this must be the first time i've ever stepped foot in santa monica. i have no recollection of being in santa monica other than driving through just after the earthquake toppled everything about 10 years ago.

we had to wait 15-20 minutes for a table so we hung out outside. saw flea leave with his female friend. i've seen him in person up close before and he hasn't changed. i still say he looks like a psycho killer. i don't trust those eyes. i don't believe his zen brotherhood bullshit.

the menu looked pretty good. there was enough variety there. and they have hummus! it's definitely a place i'll be going back to. i had a burrito because i've been craving a good vegan burrito. it was pretty good. took half of it home. it will be a nice breakfast. we shared a dessert--chocolate cake with raspberry. it was good, but not great. nobody beats black china bakery of santa cruz. except, native foods comes pretty damn close! they do rival black china.

afterwards, we went back to their place and i chatted with my high school friend for awhile. funny, whenever i visit her, it always ends up that we chat up late and her boyfriend, whoever he may be at the time, goes to bed. this time we weren't up too late as she's long been domesticated and couldn't keep her eyes open. with the traffic, it took me 1 hour to get over there but it only took me 30 minutes to get home.
