today i went to my dentist for the last time. just a routine cleaning so i didn't even talk to my dentist. in fact, i had an assistant clean my teeth who has never cleaned my teeth before. she actually asked me to remove my lip ring. she said they get in the way. i was so shocked, all i could say was that it would close up so i cannot. by my reply, she thought it was new and asked how long i have had it. i've had it for over 1 year and have been to this dentist twice since then without any such removal requests but didn't tell her that. just get on with it bitch!

then i went to parwana to have dinner with twiddle thumbs and her work friend scott. i've had lunch with him before--he's a nice guy. he actually lives in LA and comes up to santa cruz now and then for business. i think we'll see a lot more of him when we are in LA so it wasn't so much of a good-bye dinner i guess as an appetizer of things to come.
