skull Projects

Another "project" of mine is to minimize my life and I'm starting off by selling (and a few trades) most of my music collection. For now I am only listing about 200 pieces at a time, otherwise it becomes too much to deal with. If you do not see what you are looking for, then email me which band you are interested in and I'll see if I have what you're looking for. half.com, ebay, amazon.com, lala.com

an evening with siouxsie 2 [listening]

went to see siouxsie (the creatures) last night at the house of blues in anaheim again, but this time just twiddle thumbs and me. while we were in line, we met joe and richard, two pretty cool guys. richard was soooo nervous. he's a huge siouxsie fan who always brings her flowers. we swapped stories and wiggled our way during the show to a pretty decent spot. i'm happiest up in front. i had a very good time. i was able to get sucked into the moment and space out a bit while being bathed in the music. i really enjoy those live music moments. i couldn't really enjoy myself the first night. this second night, boy, i really noticed those drums. the drumming combination of leonard and budgie is wicked! leonard's presence on such songs as "happy house" and "take mine" really fill it out. blows me away at how damn good those songs sound when the drums are supercharged. siouxsie was gorgeous too. i think this is the best look i have ever seen her have live. it just suits her so well. she's an awesome performer. i love the banshees. i love the creatures. i planned my move back down to LA around these shows. they were only going to play 1 night in san francisco and 4 nights in the LA area. 1 night? fuck that! i'm going to LA! then they were added to the kroq inland invasion festival. i do not want to be outdoors just to hang around for siouxsie so i didn't go to that. otherwise, it would've been 5 nights of siouxsie. i've had my share of being right up against the stage, no barrier, no guards, underneath siouxsie's crotch at small venue shows so i'm ok with not being up in the front row at these barred and guarded larger venues.

after the performance was over, leonard walked on stage to grab some of his stuff. i was going to shout to him in japanese, but i missed my chance. i kept waiting, hoping he would return. but i didn't get a second chance. the staff closed the curtains so the fans would go away. they didn't do that last night. assholes! tada eto-san to hanashikatta noni! again, security had wands but weren't that tight. you could've snuck something in but i didn't try. i just wanted to enjoy myself.
