so that was the film part 3 [watching]

i netflixed "the dead zone" to see if it was one of the films i remember from childhood, (see earlier entry). yes, yes it was.

my memories: some slightly eerie/creepy christopher walken/john lithgow type man in a stephen king film can see the future and uses it to solve crimes. there's a goldfish in a bowl, it breaks, he shudders because it's about his own future.

well i was half right. it is a stephen king film with christopher walken and he has visions but it's not always necessarily about the future, nor to solve crimes. it's the film where he touches people and then sees a vision regarding something that's very painful to them. the goldfish incident is early on in the film. a house is on fire and the goldfish is boiling as a result of the intense heat.

i realize that i've seen a saturday night live skit parody of this film. i think jay mohr played the part of christopher walken's character.
