netflix your life away [watching]
i watched a lot of movies from netflix recently. right now i keep renting films that either are practically classics--films that are mandatory for every american that twiddle thumbs has never seen, i haven't seen but twiddle thumbs has seen, or films i want to see that twiddle thumbs is probably not interested in. this pattern will probably continue until we go to new zealand.
the most recent films we watched were "the fly" (parts 1 and 2), "traffic", and "planet of the apes". i had forgotten how horrible "the fly" part 2 is. twiddle thumbs thought it was too gross. "traffic" was pretty good. i wanted to see it when it got an academy award for editing because the editor is a ucsc graduate. i always thought that "planet of the apes" kicked ass but twiddle thumbs just didn't get it. i had to explain it. too bad.
