10 rubber bands for 43 cents [geeking]

on june 8 i noticed that the cd-rom drive of the imac i use at work wasn't working. a co-worker also had the same problem. i told our computer support people about it and it turns out the rubber band that helps to run the drive broke. it's really a rubber band. it was shriveled up. the imac is only about 1-2 years old. thank god i didn't buy one of those lampshade style imacs. what a pain to deal with this shit. that's what i thought back then.

today the computer support people came out to fix the computers because they had new rubber bands! they got them from apple, 10 rubber bands for 43 cents!
