an apple a day [living]

i haven't really been to the doctor in my adult life. i went today because it's just time that i start making doctor visits a regular habit. all i can say is it's pretty weird to have a stranger touch your boobies. the doctor kept making small talk all throughout the exam, which was in theory strange but in practice it helped to get things over with quickly.

a friend also goes to the same doctor and she warned me about a certain nurse who has trouble finding veins. i have never had anyone have trouble finding my veins for shots or donating blood. never. this nurse took one look at the arm i just donated blood with and asked if my other arm was better. i gave her a half dirty look and said "there's nothing wrong with my veins." she didn't like that response but tried my arm anyway and got it right the first time. thank god. it's scary to think that her other job is drawing blood at a blood bank!
