i'm such a dork [watching]
while cleaning up my room, i found a piece of paper that i used to keep in my wallet in high school. it is a list of all the films kim novak has been in, in alphabetical order, with the year the film came out, and an additional marking. this additional marking notes the order in which i saw her films--this way i could be sure to eventually watch them all. i spent a lot of time scanning through tv schedules so that i could record her films. i was also very lucky when an older fan donated to me a lot of kim novak goodies including movie dubs.
here's the list in the order in which i've seen her films:
- vertigo (1958)
- bell, book and candle (1958)
- the man with the golden arm (1955)
- pal joey (1957)
- picnic (1956)
- of human bondage (1964)
- the white buffalo (1977)
- liebestraum (1991) (i actually saw this one in a movie theatre)
- tales that witness madness (1973)
- pushover (1954)
- jeanne eagels (1957)
- middle of the night (1959)
- the french line (1954) (should hardly be counted as kim was an extra)
- the amorous adventures of moll flanders (1965)
- boy's night out (1962)
- the legend of lylah clare (1968)
- kiss me stupid (1964)
- strangers when we meet (1960)
- son of sinbad (1955) (another one that shouldn't be counted as kim was an extra)
- satan's triangle (1975)
- just a gigolo (1978)
- the mirror crack'd (1980)
- phffft (1954)
- the eddy duchin story (1956)
films i still need to see:
- the children (1990)
- es hat mich sehr gefreut (1987) (a short, perhaps just a clip of kim?)
- five against the house (1955)
- the great bank robbery (1969)
- the notorious landlady (1962)
- massacre at blood bath drive-in (1976) (i think i've only seen this noted in 1 or 2 old books so i'm not sure of the accuracy)
- pepe (1960) (a cameo)
- the third girl from the left (1973)
