cabs, buildings, people [traveling]
this morning we slept in a bit because we were tired from walking around last night. last night: we wandered around the hotel and market street and union square, my brother was in search of a jacket because he forgot his at my place but even after visiting a million stores he did not buy one, rode the cable car round trip, tried to take muni to castro but it dropped us off at van ness and we walked the rest of the way (1.1 miles), ate a very late dinner, walked around castro and saw a little bit of action but didn't stay too long and left as it was dying down, took a cab back to the hotel. sleeeeeep.

our parents stayed at villa florence for their honeymoon back when it was called manx hotel

it's required to ride the cable car when you visit

the mall just off market is huge

the crowd at castro

a few had so much pride that they had to share
this morning/afternoon: saw a bit of the parade, ate at lori's diner, walked to and through china town (1.2 miles), started to walk back but was too tired (0.7 miles) and took the cable car the rest of the way back, wandered around the metreon as it was close to the hotel, drove to fort point (always wanted to go there due to watching "vertigo"), crossed the golden gate bridge and took pictures from hill above, went back to santa cruz.

the parade--view severely blocked

standing in the middle of market street because there were no cars, for once

union square

came across a cute painting of cats at union square

scenes from when i was uncomfortable in china town

a very "vertigo" shot

um, maybe it's time to go vegan?

something's not straight...
