skull Projects

Another "project" of mine is to minimize my life and I'm starting off by selling (and a few trades) most of my music collection. For now I am only listing about 200 pieces at a time, otherwise it becomes too much to deal with. If you do not see what you are looking for, then email me which band you are interested in and I'll see if I have what you're looking for. half.com, ebay, amazon.com, lala.com

troy [watching]

i went to see "troy" and it was definitely a rental. i was afraid it wouldn't be very good but i thought it would be worth seeing on the big screen. i think a big screen tv would be good enough! nothing about the film was an 'A'. everything was a 'B' or less. it seemed like there was an over emphasis on the grandness of things. the matte backgrounds were obvious, but still i couldn't pull that off in photoshop so i appreciated it. only a few of the costumes weren't laughable. the scriptwriting was bad, but not as bad as "star wars: episode 2". the main characters weren't that strong. i think there could have been a lot more character development, especially given the richness of greek mythology. the best acting was by sean bean and eric bana, but it wasn't enough to save the film. at the same time, eric bana never really carried himself like or felt like a great warrior that he is supposed to be. also, i never felt like brad pitt or orlando bloom pulled off their respective roles. i think someone else should have been cast for those roles. i don't know what it was but every time i saw peter o'toole's face, i wanted to laugh. maybe he was trying to hard to look anguished.
