ground control to major tom [watching]
i netflixed "ground control" because margaret cho has a part in it. i thought it would be a small part but i didn't realize how small. it wasn't worth it. the movie looked very low budget, which could have worked--a big budget doesn't necessarily make a film better. there was an oversentimentality to it. maybe that's not the right word to describe it. it was just a little too over the top in some scenes; too predictable. but maybe that's just me. twiddle thumbs was riveted--she was totally into it.
oh, a neon tetra died today. now down to 1 neon tetra, 2 blood-fin tetras (i think that's the name), and 1 golden chinese algae eater.
