gonna make you sweat [living]

i've signed up with the campus gym. i've worked out there three times so far. i used to go to a gym when i was in high school. the machines sure have advanced. they now have all sorts of electronic gadgets on them that will set your reps, count your reps, count calories burned, monitor heart rate, and so forth. at first i didn't want to be there. it wasn't just because i thought i would be out of place among young students, it was because i haven't exercised in a long time. over the years, i have learned to hate sweat. when i sweat, i am disgusted. so the first time at the gym, i was only there about 30 minutes. i just felt really uncomfortable with breaking into a sweat. the second time was better. i think i was there for 1 hour. the third time was the best. i was there for over an hour, breaking into a sweat, really getting into it. each time i go i have been trying out different machines, mainly to see what they do! they really look a lot different than the ones i remember from high school. so far i have come across a couple of ill-designed, awkward machines that i don't think i will use again, but i like the majority of them.

i still don't have a regular workout schedule down but i'm looking forward to working out often. i am a very impatient person. i love urgency. i need to see immediate cause/effect or else i can't be bothered. since the diet change has caused a change in appearance rather quickly, i see that there is a cause/effect that is pleasing and i want to continue it, even expedite it. that is my new goal, weight loss. now that i can see the weight loss, i want to further continue this path.
