four rooms [watching]

i netflixed "four rooms" as part of my quest to catch up on all films directed by robert rodriguez and quentin tarantino. "four rooms" is basically four segments by four directors. it is while filming his segment that rodriguez came up with the idea for "spy kids".

overall, i thought the film was uneven. the first segment was about a coven of witches trying to undo an evil spell. it had comical moments, but i thought it was the silliest. the second segment annoyed me--i just felt like it was going nowhere. it was about a husband holding his wife hostage for cheating on him. rodriguez's segment was the third and i probably liked it the most, but i wasn't crazy about it. it was about siblings misbehaving while their parents are out. i think rodriguez is great with kids but i'm not really a kids person. after watching the tarantino segment, it solidified that i really don't like his films.
