what's with chicks and horses? [watching]
i went to see "hidalgo" today. it was alright, nothing spectacular. i did like how the film stayed away from adding a cheesy love interest subplot. there were times when it was dangerously close to love interest cheese, but nothing was actually consummated. there wasn't even a kiss. i really appreciated that.
what caught my interest more than the film was the audience and the various reactions to the film that were exhibited. i was surprised at how many people were responding to the film with gasps, words, and applause.
