voices answer back [living]

a couple days ago, my mom wrote to me to let me know that she had received the cd i sent of my dad's recordings from college. she said she didn't recognized the voice at first, only during certain words. she attributed this due to how young he was at the time of the recordings.

today while i was eating dinner, my grandmother called me; she too had received the cd and listened to it. only for her it was much harder. she said that for the first few days she couldn't listen to it at all. in the almost 10 years that i have lived here, this was the first time i sent her something and it is the first time that we have talked on the phone. yea, we're a talkative bunch.
