change in management [working]

the department manager at work will be retiring this year and they're interviewing applicants. they let the other office staff ask the interviewees a few questions on thursday and friday. apparently this is the first time the hiring committee has ever done this for that position. it was very weird to be part of the process. but i'm glad we were included because it allows us to prepare for the best or the worst. i really didn't like some of the candidates. there is a clear clash among the office staff of what they are seeking in a co-worker. it's safe to say that we're all nervous as to who will be chosen. some are even willing to leave if they don't like the new person. this will be interesting.
