car jack or car joke? [living]

something weird happened to me today. when i got off of work, i went to the parking structure to get into my car and go home as usual. when i reached my car, i noticed there was a paper napkin shoved into the driver side door handle. i didn't notice anything else strange or scratch marks. to me it seemed like someone tried to casually steal things from my car and they used a paper napkin so as not to leave fingerprints. only, my car is always locked and alarmed so they couldn't get in. campus is pretty safe. you have to leave things unlocked for them to get stolen. i don't have a fear of people breaking into my car to steal parts but now i think i'm going to be more cautious. if the napkin was there for any other reason, i can't imagine what it could have been.
