everything yum yum [ingesting]

i have never made tempura before. i have never ordered tempura before. honestly, it's just not my thing. my dad's family loves it when my mom makes it though. maybe she showed me how once but i swear i don't remember her teaching me how to make it. my friend loves to order tempura when we go to japanese restaurants. i didn't think it'd be hard to do so i bought some stuff and made it for her last night. damn, it took a loooong time. now i see why my mom hates making it. but my friend loved it so i am pleased. only, now my house reeks of cooked oil. it's gonna take a few days airing out the place before it completely disappears. when you walk in, you can just feel grease on your skin. i guess i won't have another tempura fest for a long time.
