classic films i've never seen [watching]

today in class we watched clips from "citizen kane", which i've never seen before. it made think about all the classics i've never seen before, that i even had a smug pride because i had yet to see them. i have decided that it's silly not to watch them considering i am a film major, but i don't know if i'll watch all of them (the sound of music?! *bleugh*). after all, everyone has limits.

here's my short list:
citizen kane
it's a wonderful life (actually, saw quite a bit of it at my mom's house christmas time 2001)
the sound of music
casablanca, maltese falcon, any humphrey bogart movie
m
several hitchcock films - dial m for murder, strangers on a train, the man who knew too much, etc
pretty much any detective story
pretty much any film noir
any sherlock holmes film
any james bond film (except for 1 that was on cable often and i watched most of it, but only little bits and pieces at a time)
the godfather flicks
pretty much any gangster film *yeuch*
