i don't think i have ever played battle balls (senkyuo) before. i tried it at the boardwalk and was hooked! it's a tetris-y puzzle game and that's my favorite kind of game. i chose to be the tanuki character and challenge the others. i kept putting in tokens to continue the battles. i wanted to beat them all. just when i was going pretty far along the battle map, (i must've been up to the 6th or 7th challenger), the machine stopped recognizing tokens. the countdown to continue is a very fast 9 seconds and i was frantically trying to put in tokens but the machine didn't recognize any of them. it was too late. i was ok though, i didn't cry. hehehe i thought i might be able to buy it to play at home but it looks like it's for playstation and i only have nintendo consoles.

i also played another game which was really quite fun: arctic thunder. it's a snowmobile racing game and again, apparently not for nintendo consoles. there were four units connected together so that you could race others. i played with my brother and twiddle thumbs several times. i even won one race.
