revolution, the only solution [living]

margaret cho is hilarious. i have enjoyed her comedy stylings for over 10 years. i have seen her perform perhaps three times. i have missed her perform in person and on tv in the past couple years because when i returned to school, i tried to cut out as many distractions as possible. i had to be serious and focus so that i wouldn't waste my time or money. i made exceptions here and there to attend shows that i thought were either a really rare experience or would greatly contribute to relieving stress, etc. the last tour margaret did was "the notorious c.h.o". it played at some pretty large venues and i wanted to go but i think there was a conflict with school or it was too far for me to drive to. i'm getting really lazy about driving to san francisco for shows! i did go to the local art house to watch the filmed version.

the current tour is "revolution". the poster advertising the show is a parody (or homage, your pick) of a famous che photo. seeing this alone, i knew i could not miss the tour! but once again, margaret played in san francisco and i didn't feel like driving. she's being touring this show for quite awhile and even added more california dates. this summer i was so intensely concentrating on the courses i was taking that i completely forgot about the san jose show! today i was snappily awakened by a friend about the show. luckily there were still tickets left, (floor level even). my cho hibernation was long and i am glad to have awaken.
