they don't call 'em fighting fish for nothing [domesticating]
i went to sleep happy there was finally ardeth III. i woke up to find ardeth III had mortally wounded one of the glass catfish. when ardeth first when into the tank, he chased the glass catfish a bit but that's to be expected. one of them was a bit slow and he was able to nip the tail. ok, so i saw a little red on the tail, i guess he bit enough to get some blood, but he didn't chase them after that. i figured it was fine, he already marked his territory well. but no, he had to go further.
in the morning, at the bottom of the tank, in a corner, was the wounded glass catfish dying. he was barely moving and i noticed his underfin was missing a portion in the middle. *bad ardeth. bad!* i put on some music and waited to see if anything would happen in the tank. (how fitting was it that what was playing was "the hunter" by bjork.) the glass catfish managed to swim to the middle of the tank but lay still again. after i took a shower, the glass catfish was on a different side of the tank but upside down and dead. so that's the end of him. a viking funeral will be held at sunset.
