feed your head, spare your wallet [living]

for the first time in the nine years that i have been living in this town, i walked into the public library AND signed up for a library card. recently i have learned that there are actually libraries (plural), not just one for so small a county. i've past by other library branches many times without realizing it because the libraries here are so small that they don't even resemble libraries. that is why i have been content to only use the university library. but the public library system offers something university libraries do not: media rental. i used to rent cds from the local libraries in high school, occasionally a video. now that public libraries carry dvds, i will visit them once more. they are especially user friendly now that their catalogues are online.
